Overview
The Rightsizing tab under Cost Analyzer → Optimization includes a built-in AI capability, Explain with AI, available under Advanced recommendations, that provides a detailed breakdown of a Turbo360-generated rightsizing recommendation — covering metric analysis, savings potential, implementation steps, risk assessment, and rollback guidance.

How to use
- Navigate to Cost Analyzer → Optimization → Rightsizing.
- Select the Advanced recommendations tab.
- Hover over a recommendation row and click the Explain with AI icon that appears.
- The AI Insights panel opens with a full analysis of the selected recommendation.
Insight breakdown
1. Savings summary
Displays the recommendation type (Downgrade, Upgrade, Idle, or No change), current monthly cost, monthly savings, and annual savings at a glance, along with a context note explaining the basis of the recommendation.
2. Metric analysis
Shows the monitored metrics used to generate the recommendation — such as CPU percentage and DTU percentage — with their average, peak, downgrade threshold, and upgrade threshold values. Each metric is labeled against its threshold status (e.g. Below downgrade threshold) based on the evaluation window.
3. Recommendation summary
Explains what SKU change is being recommended, why the workload qualifies based on the monitored signals, and the financial impact of keeping the current tier versus acting on the recommendation.
4. Implementation steps
Lists the step-by-step actions needed to act on the recommendation, each with an estimated time and the tool required — Turbo360 Cost Analyzer, Turbo360 Rightsizing Settings, or Azure Monitor.
5. Risk & impact assessment
Covers the key risks of applying the recommendation — Performance Risk, Availability Risk, and an Overall Safety rating — with guidance on what to monitor after the change.
6. Rollback plan
Describes how to revert the change if needed, including early warning signals to watch for and confirmation that data, logins, and configuration are preserved during the resize.
7. Recommendation justification
Explains why the recommendation was generated based on the monitored metric samples, and provides a recommended timing for when to act to minimize operational impact.
