It explains who is notified, how incidents close, and why a report or an email looks the way it does. ### Business value Short answers help you set up alerts and reports with the right recipients, and explain a missing notification or an unexpected figure without opening several articles. ## How it works Questions are grouped by topic, and each answer stands on its own. Alerts watch the data from the last sync and raise incidents. Reports run for one tenant at a time and use the same data. Where an answer needs more detail, it points to the article that covers the feature. For numbers and defaults, see [Limits and defaults](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/limits-and-defaults-in-tenant-manager). For symptoms and fixes, see [Alert and notification issues](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/alert-and-notification-issues-in-tenant-manager) and [Report and pricing issues](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/report-and-pricing-issues-in-tenant-manager). ## FAQs ### Alerts Alerts watch the data from the last sync and raise incidents. These answers explain who is told and how incidents close. 1. **Why did an alert fire but nobody was notified?** The alert may have no notification channel or recipient, outbound email may not be configured, or a channel may have been deleted. Open **Alert history**, select the incident, and use **View notification details** to see the reason. 2. **Why do I see several open incidents for one alert?** Each due check that finds the condition raises its own incident. Acknowledge or close them once the problem is dealt with. They are not closed automatically. 3. **Can I set an alert for a whole tenant group?** No. Alerts are set on each tenant. 4. **What is the difference between Acknowledge and Close?** Acknowledge says someone has the incident in hand. It stops escalating and is not sent again until it is reopened. Close ends the incident, and if the condition is still met, the next check raises a new one. 5. **What happens to open incidents when I disable an alert?** They stay open. Disabling an alert stops it from being checked completely, which is different from muting it. Escalation resumes from the step it reached when you switch the alert on again. 6. **Why is an incident still open after I fixed the problem?** Tenant Manager does not close incidents when the condition clears. It stops escalating them. Acknowledge or close the incident in **Alert history**. ### Reports and emails Reports run for one tenant at a time and use the data from the last sync. Tenant Manager sends four kinds of email. 1. **Can I get one report for a whole tenant group?** No. Reports are created for one tenant at a time. 2. **Why is there no total in the report?** Reports don't convert currencies, so amounts in different currencies are never added together. The Cost report has no total. A tenant's Cost report has one row for each currency, and that row is the total. The PDF of the License report has a Total row when it lists more than one license, with one subtotal for each currency. The Excel file has no totals. 3. **Are the figures in the Cost report invoiced amounts?** Only when **Priced from** reads **Billing (Microsoft Customer Agreement)**. Figures that use a custom price are estimates. 4. **Why is the file not attached to the email?** Tenant Manager links the file and never attaches it. Select **Download report** in the message, or download the file from Generation history. The link works for 7 days. 5. **Which emails does Tenant Manager send, and who gets them?** Tenant Manager sends four kinds of email to the people you configure: alert emails, report emails, automation run summaries, and task notifications. An access request goes to the Turbo360 team. It does not email the people who hold licenses in your tenants.
