Overview

General settings is an account-level configuration screen in Turbo360. It allows you to view account and authentication details, close your account, switch your authentication mode, set the date-time display format, and configure the background activity time zone.

Business value

Centralizing account-level configuration in a single screen reduces administrative overhead and ensures consistent behavior across all Turbo360 background activities.

Prerequisites

You must be signed in as the Account owner to access General settings.

Required permissions

Only the Account owner can access and manage General settings. Other users cannot view the gear icon in the top-right corner of the application.

Dependencies

  • A Turbo360 account with an active subscription
  • Microsoft Entra ID configuration (if switching authentication mode)

How it works

General settings provides three areas of control:

  • Account and authentication — view account details and switch the authentication mode between Email and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Date and time — set a standard date-time display format applied across the Turbo360 interface.
  • Background activity time zone — define the time zone used for all scheduled and automated background activities.

Changes made in General settings take effect immediately after you click Save.

Steps

Close your account

Closing your account permanently removes all associated data and cannot be undone.

  1. Access General settings from the gear icon in the top-right corner of the application.
  2. Click Close account.
  3. Confirm the action when prompted.
Note:

Closing your account permanently deletes all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Change the date-time format

  1. Go to Settings > General settings.
  2. Select your preferred format from the Date time format dropdown.
  3. Click Save.
Note:
  • The default date-time format is dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss.
  • The date-time format applies only to fields that display both a date and a time.
  • Logs downloaded from Turbo360 always use the Standard UTC format for loggedAt and startedAt fields, regardless of this setting.

Change the background activity time zone

  1. Navigate to the gear icon at the top-right corner > General settings.
  2. Select your preferred time zone from the Background activity time zone dropdown.
  3. Click Save.
Note:
  • The background activity time zone affects only background activities. It does not change the time displayed in the Turbo360 interface.
  • Background activity times are converted for display in Turbo360 based on your local system settings.

Configuration

Option Type Default Required Description Allowed values
Date time format Dropdown dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss No Sets the date-time display format across the Turbo360 interface Available format patterns in the dropdown
Background activity time zone Dropdown UTC timezone No Sets the time zone for all Turbo360 background activities Available time zones in the dropdown

Permission behavior

With access (Account owner):
You can view and modify all settings in the General settings screen, including closing the account, switching authentication mode, and updating date-time and time zone preferences.

Without access (all other roles):
The gear icon in the top-right corner of the application is not visible. The General settings screen is inaccessible.

Example scenario

Your organization operates across multiple time zones. As the Account owner, you navigate to Settings > General settings and set the Background activity time zone to match your operations center's time zone. All monitoring schedules, scheduled tasks, and automated tasks now run relative to that time zone, ensuring alerts and reports align with your operational hours.

Limitations

  • Only one Account owner can exist per Turbo360 account.
  • The date-time format setting does not affect log exports — downloaded logs always use Standard UTC.
  • The background activity time zone does not change the time displayed in the Turbo360 interface; interface times reflect your local system settings.

Troubleshooting

  1. Gear icon is not visible.
Cause: The gear icon is only visible to the Account owner.
Fix: If you cannot see it, your account role does not have access to General settings. Contact your Account owner.

  2. Background activity time zone change is not taking effect.
Cause: The new time zone may not have been saved.
Fix: Ensure you clicked Save after selecting the new time zone. If the issue persists, refresh the page and verify the selected value is still applied.

  3. Date-time format is not reflecting in the interface.
Cause: The format applies only to fields that display both a date and a time.
Fix: Fields showing only a date or only a time are not affected. Verify the field type before further investigation.

  4. Authentication mode switch is failing.
Cause: Microsoft Entra ID configuration may be incomplete or the required permissions are not in place.
Fix: Verify that your Microsoft Entra ID configuration is complete and that the required permissions are in place before switching authentication modes.

  5. Account closure is not completing.
Cause: The closure prompt may not have been confirmed, or there is a network connectivity issue.
Fix: Ensure you have confirmed the closure prompt. If the action does not proceed, check your network connection and try again. If the issue persists, contact Turbo360 support.
