The sample uses the VS Code REST Client extension and is designed for interactive testing and exploration. ### Business value Partners need visibility into individual child account health and consumption from a central point. These API calls surface licensing metrics and user assignments without requiring access to each child account's portal. ## Prerequisites - A Turbo360 Parent Account with Partner API access enabled. - A Microsoft Entra App Registration configured with the Turbo360 Partner API permission scope (`api://3ff33167-ae34-4bb3-b86d-109c22d28fc8/.default`). - The tenant ID, client ID, and client secret for your App Registration. - VS Code with the REST Client extension installed. ## How it works The sample performs four sequential operations against the Parent Account API: 1. **Authenticate:** Acquire a Bearer token using the client credentials flow. 2. **List child accounts:** Retrieve all managed accounts and identify the target account ID by name. 3. **Get account usage:** Retrieve the ACR and licensing usage for the specified child account. 4. **Get account users:** Retrieve the list of users associated with the child account. The `childAccountId` variable is populated automatically from the `getAccounts` response using a JSONPath expression that matches by account name — replace `My-CostAnalyzer-Account` with the name of the account you want to query. ## Steps Copy the following into a `.http` file in VS Code and run each request in sequence. This code is written in plain text: ```http # ============================================================== # Authentication Variables # ============================================================== @tenantId = [API Authentication - Tenant ID] @clientId = [API Authentication - Client ID] @clientSecret = [API Authentication - Client Secret] @host = portal.turbo360.com # ============================================================== # Cost Analyzer Account Variables # ============================================================== @newAccountName = My-CostAnalyzer-Account @childAccountId = [populated from getAccounts response by account name] # ============================================================== # Step 1 - Get Authentication Token # ============================================================== # @name getToken POST https://login.microsoftonline.com/[tenantId]/oauth2/v2.0/token Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded grant_type=client_credentials &client_id=[clientId] &client_secret=[clientSecret] &scope=api://3ff33167-ae34-4bb3-b86d-109c22d28fc8/.default ### # ============================================================== # Step 2 - Get the Child Account from the list of accounts # ============================================================== # @name getAccounts GET https://[host]/partner/api/account-management/get-managed-accounts Accept: */* Authorization: Bearer [getToken.response.body.access_token] ### # ============================================================== # Step 3 - Get the Child Account usage # ============================================================== GET https://[host]/partner/api/account-management/[childAccountId]/get-account-usage Accept: */* Authorization: Bearer [getToken.response.body.access_token] ### # ============================================================== # Step 4 - Get the Child Account users # ============================================================== GET https://[host]/partner/api/account-management/[childAccountId]/get-account-users Accept: */* Authorization: Bearer [getToken.response.body.access_token] ### ``` Note: Replace bracketed placeholders above with your actual variable values. In the REST Client extension, the `@childAccountId` variable uses a JSONPath expression to extract the account ID from the `getAccounts` response by matching on account name. ## Related articles - [Partner API configuration](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/partner-api-configuration) - [Create a new account and run initial import](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/create-a-new-account-and-run-initial-import) - [Managing parent accounts](https://docs.turbo360.com/docs/managing-parent-accounts)
