# Overview

The Car Appointments demo illustrates a batch processing scenario where an organisation sends daily batch files to a garage partner that manages the outsourced maintenance of their vehicle fleet. The garage processes the appointments and sends response batches back confirming completion.

## Demo story

1. Business users log maintenance appointment requests in the car appointments system.
2. A Logic App runs daily, extracts the appointments, transforms them into a batch file, and sends the file to the garage over SFTP.
3. The garage services the vehicles.
4. The garage sends batch response files confirming which appointments were completed.
5. The response batch items are loaded back into the car appointments system.

## Implementation

The solution has two interfaces:

1. A Logic App that checks for appointment data, transforms it, and sends the batch file to the garage.
2. Logic Apps that receive and process the response batch files from the garage.

              
              

- A background Logic App simulates the garage system generating response batches, so the demo runs continuously with live data flowing through it.
- API Management is used to call the Mockaroo API to simulate test data for the car appointments system.
