Article summary

This page will outline the option of using username and password authentication to Turbo360 for a CSP/Distributor who has many Turbo360 accounts and the user has access to 1 or more accounts.

Authentication by one of your users OR one of your customers

The below diagram represents the flow for authentication.

In this scenario the user provides a username and password to Turbo360 which are then authenticated and the user is granted access to Turbo360 upon successful authentication.

The user then has permission to access 1 OR more Turbo360 accounts that the user has been given permission to access.

Recommendations

While this authentication mechanism is possible this is not the recommended approach for the following reasons.

  • If you want to remove the user you can not take advantage of Entra features and the user would need to be removed from each account individually

  • The password policy would not follow any standard you or the customer has in place with your Entra

  • While the first time setup for Entra may be a little higher, once in place the ongoing maintenance would be much simpler
