Article summary

Overview

The Turbo360 navigation system gives you access to all platform modules, administrative settings, and monitoring tools from a single, persistent interface. Understanding how the interface is organized helps you move efficiently between Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Business Activity Monitoring, Azure Documenter, and platform-wide functions.

Business value

A well-understood navigation structure reduces onboarding time and ensures you can reach the right tool or setting quickly. Turbo360 organizes its interface into logical sections aligned with operational tasks, so you spend less time searching and more time acting.

Prerequisites

  • A Turbo360 account with at least one module provisioned
  • Access to the Turbo360 application

Required permissions

No special permissions are required to navigate the interface. Access to individual modules and settings pages is governed by your assigned role.

Dependencies

  • An active Turbo360 organization
  • At least one connected Azure subscription for module-level data to appear

How it works

Turbo360 uses three primary navigation elements: a left-side navigation panel, a top navigation bar, and a global search field.

Left navigation panel — always visible. Lists Home at the top, followed by the four modules: Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Azure Documenter, and Business Activity Monitoring. Selecting a module opens its landing page. Within a module, a secondary navigation layer exposes its features and subcategories.

Top navigation bar — spans the full width of the portal. Contains the Turbo360 logo, the global Search field, a feedback icon, a notifications bell, the Settings gear icon, and your user avatar with a dropdown arrow.

Global search — opens a search panel with category-scoped filters. Results are grouped by entity type: Business Application Groups, Business Applications, Business Application Resources, Business Process Groups, Business Processes, Business Process Transactions, Azure Documenter Groups, Cost Analyzer Groups, Users, and Others. Use it to navigate directly to any resource across all modules.

Navigation state is preserved between sessions. The panel remembers which section you last visited and returns you to it on next login.

The Home dashboard layout is customizable. You can reorder the module summary cards and configure the Widgets section to display the information most relevant to your work. Select Edit in the top-right corner of the home screen to enter edit mode. Reordering module cards is a personal preference — changes apply to your account only and do not affect other users in your organization.

Steps

To navigate to a module:

  1. Sign in to the Turbo360 portal. The Home dashboard opens by default.
  2. In the left navigation panel, select the module you want to open — Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Azure Documenter, or Business Activity Monitoring.
  3. The module landing page opens. Use the module-level navigation to move between its features.

To search for a resource using Global Search bar:

  1. Select the Search field in the top navigation bar.
  2. Type a keyword. Results appear grouped by entity type.
  3. Use the category filter tabs — such as Business Applications, Business Process Groups, or Cost Analyzer Groups — to narrow results.
  4. Select a result to navigate directly to that resource.

Note:

Module card order is saved per user. Other members of your organization see their own layout, unaffected by your changes.

Configuration

Navigation layout is not user-configurable in this release. Module visibility in the left panel is determined by your organization's provisioned modules and your assigned role permissions.

Permission behavior

With access: All provisioned modules appear in the left navigation panel. You can navigate to any section your role permits.

Without access: Modules or settings pages your role does not permit are either hidden from the navigation panel or display an access-denied message when selected. Contact your organization administrator to request additional access.

Limitations

  • Navigation panel layout cannot be customized or reordered by individual users.
  • Module sections only appear in the navigation panel if the module is provisioned for your organization.
  • The global search covers resources within modules (applications, processes, groups, users); it does not search documentation or settings pages.
  • Role-based visibility rules apply at the navigation level — some sections may be hidden rather than displayed with a lock icon.
  • Deep-linking directly to a specific page requires the correct URL; bookmarks work for most portal pages.

Troubleshooting

  1. A module is missing from the left navigation panel.
The module may not be provisioned for your organization, or your role may not grant access to it. Contact your organization administrator to verify provisioning and role assignment.

  2. Selecting a settings page returns an access-denied message.
Your role does not have permission to view that settings section. An organization administrator can update your role or grant individual access.

  3. The left navigation panel is collapsed and I cannot see the module links.
Select the expand arrow at the bottom of the collapsed panel to restore it. If the panel is hidden due to a display issue, refresh the page or clear your browser cache.

  4. The global search returns no results for a known resource.
Confirm you are searching for the correct entity name. Use the category filter tabs to narrow results to the expected entity type (for example, Business Applications or Cost Analyzer Groups). If the resource was recently created, allow a short delay for it to become searchable.

  5. The notifications bell shows a count but the panel appears empty.
Refresh the page. If the count persists without visible notifications, the notifications may have been dismissed in another session or the count may not have updated. Contact support if the issue continues.

FAQs

  1. How do I get back to the Home dashboard from anywhere in the portal?
Select Home at the top of the left navigation panel. This returns you to the main dashboard regardless of which module or settings page you are currently on.

  2. Does the navigation panel show all modules, or only the ones I have access to?
The left panel shows only the modules provisioned for your organization and permitted by your role. If a module you expect to see is missing, contact your organization administrator to verify provisioning and role assignment.

  3. Where do I go to change notification settings, manage users, or configure service principals?
All platform administration settings are in the Settings panel. Select the ⚙ gear icon in the top navigation bar to open it. The panel lists General settings, Notification channels, Email templates, Users, Service principals, and other configuration options.
