What are Business Applications?

Overview

Business Applications is a Turbo360 module that lets you group and manage Azure resources as a single logical unit. Instead of navigating scattered Azure services across multiple subscriptions, regions, and resource groups, you define a Business Application as a named container that maps directly to a line-of-business solution.

Business value

Enterprises build integration solutions using Azure services — Service Bus, Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps, Event Hubs, Event Grid, and more. As these solutions grow across multiple Azure subscriptions and resource groups, visibility and governance become difficult. Business Applications gives operations teams a single point of management and monitoring for each solution, regardless of how the underlying Azure resources are distributed.

How it works

A Business Application is a logical container in Turbo360 that groups Azure resources constituting a line-of-business solution. Resources can span different Azure subscriptions, regions, and resource groups — Business Applications removes that boundary and presents them as one managed entity.

The Azure portal organizes resources into silos. It has no concept of application-level visibility across subscriptions, and it is not possible to manage resources from different subscriptions in a single view. Business Applications solves this directly:

• Logical grouping — Resources from any subscription, region, or resource group can be added to a single Business Application.
• Application-level visibility — You see the full solution — not individual resources — giving you a clear picture of health, activity, and alerts in one place.
• Unified management — You manage and monitor the entire solution from Turbo360 without switching between Azure subscriptions or portals.
• Hybrid integration support — As Azure has become a mainstream platform for hybrid integration, Business Applications acts as a key enabler for enterprises extending on-premises solutions into the cloud.
