Overview
Tenant Manager is switched off by default for each Turbo360 account. You can't switch it on yourself. Instead, you send an access request from the Home page. The Turbo360 team reviews each request and approves it based on the reason you give in the form.
This article shows you how to send the request and what to expect after it's approved. Once your request is approved, the Request access button on the Tenant Manager card changes to Get started, and you can connect your first tenant.
In private hosting, Tenant Manager is available when your license file includes it. Request access to get a license file that includes it.
Business value
Once access is on, Tenant Manager shows every Microsoft 365 license across your tenants and tenant groups, with activity and cost. You can cut idle spend on inactive users, unassigned seats, and costlier licenses. You can change licenses with approvals or automation rules, and get renewal alerts and reports by email.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- A Turbo360 account where Tenant Manager is not yet enabled.
- A clear idea of how you plan to use Tenant Manager, such as the number of Microsoft 365 tenants and users you manage and what you want to track or save.
Required permissions
Any signed-in user in the account can select Request access. Turbo360 doesn't check a Tenant Manager role for this step.
After the Turbo360 team switches the module on, the Tenant Manager card on the Home page shows Get started until your first tenant group exists, and Manage after that. If your role doesn't allow you to get started, Get started is disabled and its tooltip reads "You are not authorized to perform this operation". If you are not a member of the product, the card reads "You are not a member of this product. Contact the owner of this product to grant the required permission." For details, see Roles and permissions in Tenant Manager.
How it works
Access to Tenant Manager is controlled for each account. This section covers what you see while access is off and what happens after you send a request.
While access is off, the Tenant Manager card on the Home page shows Request access and this text: "See who holds which Microsoft 365 license, what is idle, and what it costs across your connected tenants. Request access to enable it for your account." Any Tenant Manager link opens the unauthorized page, and the account setup wizard hides the Tenant Manager tile.
If you want Tenant Manager in the account setup wizard, ask the Turbo360 team to enable it before you run the wizard. If the team enables it while you are on the module selection step, hard reload the page to see it. If you set up your account without it, you can send the request later from the Home page.
When you send a request, Turbo360 emails your reason, your name and email address, and your account name to the Turbo360 team. The team reviews each request and approves it based on the reason you give, so a specific reason helps. The team replies to you by email.
After approval, the Turbo360 team switches Tenant Manager on for your account. The Home card changes from Request access to Get started or Manage, and you don't need to reload the page.
Steps
You send the request from the Tenant Manager card on the Home page. The dialog emails your reason to the Turbo360 team.
- Sign in to Turbo360 and open the Home page.
- On the Tenant Manager card, select Request access. The Request access to Tenant Manager dialog opens.
- Read the What you get, and what is coming panel on the left. It lists what Tenant Manager does today for licenses and previews areas that are not available yet.
- In the How do you plan to use Tenant Manager? box, describe your plan. Give a specific reason, for example the number of tenants and users and what you want to track or save.
- Select Send request.
- Wait for the confirmation message: "Access request sent. Our team will get in touch by email."
To connect your first tenant after access is on, see Connect a Microsoft 365 tenant.

Example scenario
Amara Okafor leads IT at Northwind Traders, a distribution company. She looks after several Microsoft 365 tenants and suspects the company pays for licenses nobody uses.
Amara signs in to Turbo360 and selects Request access on the Tenant Manager card. In the How do you plan to use Tenant Manager? box, she writes how many tenants and users Northwind Traders has and that she wants to find idle licenses and cut renewal costs. She selects Send request and sees the confirmation message. Later, she gets an email from the Turbo360 team. When she returns to the Home page, the Request access button has changed to Get started, so she can connect her first tenant.
Limitations
- Only the Turbo360 team can switch Tenant Manager on for an account. Sending a request doesn't enable the module.
- You can't send a request without a reason in the How do you plan to use Tenant Manager? box.
