Theme customization

Overview

Theme customization lets you personalize the appearance of your Turbo360 account by choosing a color scheme, uploading a logo, and switching between light and dark modes. Customizations apply across the platform and help distinguish your account visually.

The logo you upload here also appears in documents and reports generated by Azure Documenter and Cost Analyzer, supporting consistent branding in your documentation outputs.

Business value

Consistent branding across your Turbo360 environment and generated documents reduces context-switching for teams and reinforces organizational identity in shared reports.

Prerequisites

  • You must be signed in as the Account owner.

Required permissions

Account owner role required. Other roles cannot access or modify theme settings.

Dependencies

  • Logos uploaded through Theme settings are referenced by Azure Documenter when generating documents and incorporated into branding-supported Cost Analyzer reports.

How it works

Turbo360 applies your selected color and theme mode globally across the platform interface. A live preview is displayed as you make changes, so you can verify the appearance before saving. Changes take effect immediately after saving.

The Reset to Default option restores the original theme that ships with the application, removing any custom color or logo you have set.

Steps

To apply theme settings, navigate to Settings > Themes.

  1. Select a color from the color palette to personalize your account.
  2. Upload a logo image to display across the platform and in Azure Documenter documents.
  3. Choose Light or Dark theme to match your preference.
  4. Click Save.

To undo all changes and return to the default appearance, click Reset to Default.

Configuration

Option Type Default Required Description
Color Color picker System default No Sets the primary accent color across the platform interface.
Logo Image upload None No Displays in the platform header and in Azure Documenter documents.
Theme mode Toggle Light No Switches the platform between light and dark display modes.

Permission behavior

With Account owner access: Full access to view and modify all theme settings, including color, logo, and theme mode.

Without Account owner access: Theme settings are not accessible. The Settings > Themes option is not available to non-owner roles.

Example scenario

Your organization uses a branded color and logo in all Azure Documenter reports. As the Account owner, you navigate to Settings > Themes, upload the company logo, select the brand primary color, and click Save. The logo now appears in all subsequently generated Azure Documenter documents, and the platform interface reflects the selected color.

Limitations

  • Only one logo can be active at a time. Uploading a new logo replaces the existing one.
  • Theme customization is scoped to the account level. Individual users cannot set personal themes.
  • Only the Account owner role can modify theme settings. There is no delegation option for this permission.

Troubleshooting

  1. Theme changes are not saving.
Cause: Session timeout or insufficient permissions.
Fix: Confirm you are signed in as the Account owner and retry. If the issue persists, refresh the page and apply changes again.

  2. Logo does not appear in Azure Documenter documents.
Cause: The logo was uploaded after the document was generated, or the document was generated without a logo set.
Fix: Ensure a logo is saved in theme settings before generating documents. Regenerate the document to reflect the updated logo.

  3. Reset to Default does not remove the custom logo.
Cause: Reset to Default resets color and theme mode but may not clear the uploaded logo.
Fix: Manually remove the logo by uploading a blank image or contact support for assistance.

  4. Color palette does not display.
Cause: Browser rendering issue or slow network load.
Fix: Refresh the page. If the issue persists, try a different browser.

FAQs

  1. Can individual users set their own theme?
No. Theme settings are account-level and can only be configured by the Account owner. All users on the account see the same theme.

  2. Does the uploaded logo affect all modules?
The logo appears in the platform interface and in documents generated by Azure Documenter and Cost Analyzer Reports. It does not affect other module outputs.

  3. What image formats are supported for logo upload?
The supported formats include: png, jpg, jpeg, svg, ico.

  4. Will existing Azure Documenter documents update automatically when I change the logo?
No. Only documents generated after saving the new logo will reflect the change. Existing documents are not retroactively updated.
