Overview
The Turbo360 navigation system gives you access to all platform modules, administrative settings, and monitoring tools from a single, persistent interface. Understanding how the interface is organized helps you move efficiently between Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Business Activity Monitoring, Azure Documenter, and platform-wide functions.
Business value
A well-understood navigation structure reduces onboarding time and ensures you can reach the right tool or setting quickly. Turbo360 organizes its interface into logical sections aligned with operational tasks, so you spend less time searching and more time acting.
Prerequisites
- A Turbo360 account with at least one module provisioned
- Access to the Turbo360 application
Required permissions
No special permissions are required to navigate the interface. Access to individual modules and settings pages is governed by your assigned role.
Dependencies
- An active Turbo360 organization
- At least one connected Azure subscription for module-level data to appear
How it works
Turbo360 uses three primary navigation elements: a left-side navigation panel, a top navigation bar, and a global search field.
Left navigation panel: always visible. Lists Home at the top, followed by the four modules: Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Azure Documenter, and Business Activity Monitoring. Selecting a module opens its landing page. Within a module, a secondary navigation layer exposes its features and subcategories.
Top navigation bar: spans the full width of the portal. Contains the Turbo360 logo, the global Search field, a feedback icon, a notifications bell, the Settings gear icon, and your user avatar with a dropdown arrow.
Global search: opens a search panel with category-scoped filters. Results are grouped by entity type: Business Application Groups, Business Applications, Business Application Resources, Business Process Groups, Business Processes, Business Process Transactions, Azure Documenter Groups, Cost Analyzer Groups, Users, and Others. Use it to navigate directly to any resource across all modules.
Navigation state is preserved between sessions. The panel remembers which section you last visited and returns you to it on next login. The Home dashboard layout is customizable. You can reorder the module summary cards and configure the Widgets section to display the information most relevant to your work. Select Edit in the top-right corner of the home screen to enter edit mode. Reordering module cards is a personal preference. Changes apply to your account only and do not affect other users in your organization.
Steps
Use the following steps to navigate modules, search for resources, access settings, manage your profile, and reorder module cards. Sign in to the Turbo360 portal to get started. The Home dashboard opens by default.
Navigate to a module
Selecting a module from the left panel opens its landing page and the module-level navigation for its features.
- In the left navigation panel, select the module you want to open: Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Azure Documenter, or Business Activity Monitoring.
- The module landing page opens. Use the module-level navigation to move between its features.
Search for a resource
Global search lets you navigate directly to any resource across all modules without leaving your current page.
- Select the Search field in the top navigation bar.
- Type a keyword. Results appear grouped by entity type.
- Use the category filter tabs such as Business Applications, Business Process Groups, or Cost Analyzer Groups to narrow results.
- Select a result to navigate directly to that resource.
Access platform settings
The Settings panel gives you access to platform-wide configuration including users, notification channels, and service principals.
- Select the Settings gear icon (⚙) in the top navigation bar.
- The Settings panel opens on the left, listing: General settings, License consumption, Notification channels, Email templates, Themes, Users, User activities, Service principals, API keys, and Environment health.
- Select the setting you want to configure.
Access your profile and account options
The user avatar menu gives you access to your profile, account switching, and sign-out options.
- Select your user avatar (initials) in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
- A dropdown menu opens with the following options: My profile, Wiki, Task planner, Manage accounts, Support, Documentation, Cost management guide, EULA, Change password, and Sign out.
- Select the option you need.
Reorder module cards on the Home screen
Module card order is a personal preference saved per user, letting you prioritize the modules most relevant to your daily work.
- Select Home in the left navigation panel.
- Select Edit in the top-right corner of the page.
- Drag the module cards into the order you prefer.
- Save your changes.
Module card order is saved per user. Other members of your organization see their own layout, unaffected by your changes.
Configuration
Navigation layout is not user-configurable in this release. Module visibility in the left panel is determined by your organization's provisioned modules and your assigned role permissions.
| Element | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Left navigation panel | Left side | Lists Home and the four modules |
| Home | Top of left panel | Returns to the main dashboard from any page |
| Module links | Left panel | Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Azure Documenter, Business Activity Monitoring |
| Search | Top bar (center) | Global search with entity-type filters across all modules |
| Announcements icon | Top bar (right) | Opens a panel showing the latest release updates and product-level announcements, such as year-in-review highlights and feature launches |
| Notifications bell | Top bar (right) | Shows unread notification count; opens the notifications panel |
| Settings (⚙) | Top bar (right) | Opens the Settings panel for platform administration |
| User avatar | Top bar (far right) | Opens the user menu: profile, account, support, and sign-out options |
Permission behavior
With access: All provisioned modules appear in the left navigation panel. You can navigate to any section your role permits.
Without access: Modules or settings pages your role does not permit are either hidden from the navigation panel or display an access-denied message when selected. Contact your organization administrator to request additional access.
Limitations
- Navigation panel layout cannot be customized or reordered by individual users.
- Module sections only appear in the navigation panel if the module is provisioned for your organization.
- The global search covers resources within modules (applications, processes, groups, users); it does not search documentation or settings pages.
- Role-based visibility rules apply at the navigation level. Some sections may be hidden rather than displayed with a lock icon.
- Deep-linking directly to a specific page requires the correct URL; bookmarks work for most portal pages.
Troubleshooting
-
A module is missing from the left navigation panel.
Cause: The module may not be provisioned for your organization, or your role may not grant access to it.
Fix: Contact your organization administrator to verify provisioning and role assignment. -
Selecting a settings page returns an access-denied message.
Cause: Your role does not have permission to view that settings section.
Fix: An organization administrator can update your role or grant individual access. -
The left navigation panel is collapsed and I cannot see the module links.
Cause: The panel may be collapsed or hidden due to a display issue.
Fix: Select the expand arrow at the bottom of the collapsed panel to restore it. If the panel is hidden, refresh the page or clear your browser cache. -
The global search returns no results for a known resource.
Cause: The resource name may not match exactly, or it may need a short delay to become searchable after creation.
Fix: Confirm the correct entity name and use the category filter tabs to narrow results to the expected type, for example Business Applications or Cost Analyzer Groups. -
The notifications bell shows a count but the panel appears empty.
Cause: Notifications may have been dismissed in another session, or the count may not have updated.
Fix: Refresh the page. If the count persists, contact support.
