Overview
This article covers the first things to do after completing your initial Turbo360 setup, including connecting your Azure subscription, orienting yourself in the interface, and launching your first module. It gives new users a clear path from a fresh account to a working configuration in a single session.
Business value
A structured first session means your team gets to value faster. Teams that skip these steps often spend days revisiting basics: reconnecting subscriptions, reconfiguring service principals, or discovering features after the fact. Completing these actions up front eliminates the most common onboarding blockers.
Prerequisites
Before starting, the following must be in place:
- A Turbo360 account with an active organization. See Create Turbo360 account.
- Initial setup completed. See Initial setup.
- Azure subscription connected with a configured service principal. See Connect Azure subscription and Service principal setup.
How it works
Turbo360 is organized around four modules: Cost Analyzer, Business Applications, Business Activity Monitoring, and Azure Documenter. Each module is independent. You activate the ones relevant to your team's work and configure them separately. The home screen dashboard gives you a cross-module view once modules are running.
The common first session follows three phases: orient yourself in the interface, configure the Home screen dashboard, and launch your first module quick start.
Steps
Use the following steps to complete your first session in Turbo360. Sign in to the Turbo360 portal. The Home dashboard opens by default.
Explore the interface
Familiarizing yourself with the navigation structure before configuring modules saves time and prevents confusion later.
- Review the left navigation panel. It lists Home at the top, followed by the four modules.
- Open the Navigation guide (navigation-guide) to understand the top bar, global search, and settings panel.
- Select the Settings gear icon (⚙) in the top bar and review the available platform settings: General settings, Users, Notification channels, Service principals, and API keys.
- Select your user avatar in the top-right corner to access your profile, change your password, or sign out.
Configure your Home screen dashboard
Setting up the dashboard gives you a cross-module operational view from day one, reducing the need to navigate into each module individually.
- From the Home screen, select Edit > Add widget, or select Add widgets if no widgets have been added yet.
- Choose a module and select the widgets you want to display.
- Configure each widget by selecting the data scope (for example, a cost management group or Business Application group) and chart format.
- Select Save to apply.
- Drag widgets to reorder them. Resize by dragging the edges.
Widget availability depends on which modules are configured. If a module's widgets don't appear in the selector, complete that module's initial setup first.
Invite your team
Adding team members early ensures everyone has access before your first operational review.
- Select the Settings gear icon (⚙) in the top navigation bar.
- Select Users.
- Select Add user, enter the user's email address, and assign the appropriate role.
- Select Add. The user receives an email to complete their account setup.
Launch your first module
Choose the module most relevant to your team's immediate priority and complete its quick start. Each quick start takes 30-60 minutes and ends with a working result.
